Financial wellness can change your life. It’s about so much more than being financially well-off. True financial wellness will usher in a sense of tranquility where there was formerly chaos. It can allow you to:
- sleep better at night
- have a healthier relationship with family
- increase your professional and personal confidence.
In addition to the above, by working with me you will also gain ground according to the standard measurements in the financial world such as: improve your credit score, achieve a major goal like buying a home or paying for college, build up a nest egg that makes you stop asking scary “What if?” questions about your future.
How, you ask?
First, let’s define terms. I like this definition of financial wellness from the University of Redlands Dimensions of Wellness:
- Financial wellness is an intricate balance of the mental, spiritual and physical aspects of money. This unique combination is an ideal to strive towards in our dealings with money.
- A financially well individual has an understanding of their financial situation and takes care of it in such a way that they are prepared for any financial changes.
- In order to maintain this balance we must be comfortable with where our money comes from and where it is going.
In our work together, we will uncover the beliefs and feelings that have been contributing to your money story. We will work through those ideas and substitute them with healthier concepts. You will be challenged to reach new heights, and you will experience some short-term financial victories to encourage your ability to make lasting changes. You will learn more about only those financial issues that are relevant to your life, because even though knowledge empowers, some financial concepts can be boring.
You will begin to feel like the queen in your money kingdom because you call the shots now. Before, it felt like you were taking orders from your wallet. Your decisions were already made for you. The money was in charge, but that reign has ended. Now money is just a tool in your pursuit of greater wellness in all areas of life.
That is what is possible when we collaborate to increase your financial wellness.
